My Mod has won in Phase 2 of the $1 Million Intel Make Something Unreal Contest and made an awesome 5th Place!

Snowreal recently got featured in the biggest german games magazine Gamestar. It is also remarkable how many views the Snowreal Trailer received on youtube. After 3 days the trailer already had over 30,000 views! You can read the article here (if you know german):

It’s time to put out some more info on those pages…

“Urmel voll in Fahrt” will be in the cinemas on March 1st! I watched the final movie a week ago at the premiere, and I enjoyed seeing my shots fully rendered and with all post processing effects. I’ve uploaded some screens from our multiplayer test yesterday. It was really good to play this in multiplayer and see what gameplay ideas work and what don’t. We had a blast pulling each other across the mountain with the viper and grappling hook!
 

I’ve thrown together a video of the mod I’m currently working on. I also had alot of fun doing a first multiplayer test on the Playstation 3 today!!!

In 11 days this mod is gonna be exactly 8 years old! I uploaded Kickflip Quake to the ModDB, and the news instantly made it to planetquake. I heard that with the improved netcode of the Darkplaces engine, this could work quite well online. I can’t recall if I’ve ever had a KFQ session against another human being…
